Do you remember when Lucy and Ricky moved to Connecticut? They had a charming country house with lots of "Colonial Revival" furniture - it was a thing. You remember the style... maybe from your parents ...view moreor grandparents or your friend's grandparents or just from METV ... lots of maple furniture, wing chairs, tufted skirted pieces, there were eagles and carved things, and clocks - always clocks. Well, this family home reminds me of Lucy and Ricky's house. This, once young, couple started out in this beautiful Fairfield home many years ago and they progressed with the times, updating their decor and belongings, a lot of that lovely young couple's 50's styling remains. So this sale is full of that Early American Revival furnishings plus retro 60s and 70s up to and including the items they currently lived with and everything in between. These social bees had a great kitchen equipped with lots of items for entertaining inside and poolside, including sterling silver, silver-plate and pewter. Great hobbyists, we also have wood working tools in the basement, knitting items, painting supplies, books and lots of original art work. I don't think this couple ever hatched chicks, but I can imagine it. It's a lovely home filled with lovely treasures, with lots of character and variety. You are going to feel the comfort of home and nostalgia with this sale - have fun traipsing down Memory Lane.
