Vintage original Jack Flynn New England Farmscape Watercolor hand-signed by listed artist -In frame, Arches Papier. This beautifully composed water color is done by a listed artist - Jack Flynn. The matting covers part of his signature so we opened the frame to confirm it was his and added photos of its entirety. This art piece will compliment any New England household, office, or Country Inn sitting parlors. Please note that the water color itself is ten by fourteen inches and is framed and matted professionally at twenty-one by seventeen inches in size.
The special paper Flynn painted on has their famous watermark. You can see the "Veritable Papier D'Arches " watermark in the lower left corner (in reverse) as the front of it is the side the painting was composed on. Arches has been around since 1942 and notable works of 20th century art have been on Arches paper from the likes of Pablo Picasso, Henri Matisse, and Salvador Dali. The Arches watermark is a point used to evaluate the authenticity of some of their works. Arches paper is a brand of air-dried paper that is used by printers and watercolorists. It has a warm white colour and is produced in hot-pressed, cold-pressed, and rough varieties. Arches paper is made in the village of Arches in the Vosges, France.
