18" tall. A beautifully rendered sculpture of two embracing children, an older brother comforting his younger sister who's doll is broken. Did he break it? Did she break it? Maybe that puppy broke it, it's unclear.
Quite heavy.
The dog is NOT connected to the rest of the piece, although it probably once was. It appears that a previous owner used a glue gun to reattach him, but not very well. The puppy and the sculpture are in great condition -- 112 years old -- There is some flaking on the finish of the piece UNDER the children, and a little nick on the tail of the boy's nightshirt. It's a bit dusty, but I'm not an art restorer, so I'll leave the delicate cleanup to the new caretaker.
Consistent with age and use.
