This is a rare Irving Marantz sketch of a family at study. World renowned Irving lived part of his adult life in the Bronx, NY throughout the 1930s and had many political ideologies such as Marxist Socialism, Capitalist Democracy, and the Totalitarianism of both Communism and Fascism that were engaged in struggles for power, and epitomized the political atmosphere of the era. He later changed his style to painting and sculpting Surrealism which had grown to have prominent influence across the globe. Currently, a bronze sculpture titled "Obelisk to Peace", created in 1972, is situated at the main entrance of 3 Park Ave, New York, NY, (aka Norman Thomas HS).
