Reproductions of Palaces, Pavilions and Gardens in the Imperial Grounds of the Summer Palace, Beijing, Yuanimingyuan.
The original etchings were created for the Qianlong Emperor between 1783 and 1786 by the Jesuit missionary to the Chinese court, Giuseppe Castiglione, also known as Lang Shining, illustrating the edifices, gardens and palace grounds constructed from 1737-1766

Each Print is framed in wood gilt frame mounted under ivory mat with interior gold border edging and cracked detailing motif around border of each mat -
