This is a rather unique piece... It was custom made for Charles and Estelle Dockser, which lived in the Kaplin House in Newton, Mass from 1955 to 1969. The maker is unknown, but certainly could have been a local firm such as Charak Furniture.
I believe is a type of rosewood but could also be a zebrawood veneer as shown, with a white marble top and very unique solid brass hardware. Measures 42" wide, 22.5" deep and 28.5" tall.
It is in 'As Found' condition, with a small greenish stain on the marble, small chips to the legs, veneer wear, etc.. There is an aroma to the piece that is a bit like old perfume, could benefit from an airing out in sunshine and it has a plywood brace that's been installed on the underside of both sides by a previous owner for stability, but looks like it can be easily and safely removed.
Please bring appropriate help to load and a suitable vehicle, all furniture items will be brought out to our loading dock for you, but due to our insurance restrictions, it will be your responsibility to load your item(s) in your vehicle!
