Large Oil Painting ~ Signed Maxwell ~

I believe this to be an early work by Paul Maxwell who was an american artist born in Arkansas in l925. His art appears to morf into more abstract art when he developed a technique called stencil casting. I may be wrong but I am giving my opinion only based on some other early works and the signature. 51x 41
