Item Description

Vintage [circa 1960s+/-] carved wood cigar store indian, standing just over 3 feet tall with great paint. unsigned, but has the aesthetic of a Frank or John Gallagher carving. An age-related shrinkage crack on the base, which does not detract from the ovreall impact and is quite stable. This is common for vintage Cigar Indians, as the wood dries out and shrinks slightly. The paint is superb, with an oxodized finish commensurate with age.
