Item Description

Superb hand wrought brass, non-cased French repeater clock. Rectangular form bonnet with flower and leaf sprays. White enameled face with Roman numerals marked Mercier a Gannat. Outsized Dutch style variform pendulum depicts a flowers in a planter with a cow, dog with tree decorations. Double lead weights. Chimes on the hour -- and then again two minutes later to have time for prayer. 67" overall height. Box measures 18.75" H x 14" W. Face is 9.5". Pendulums are 8.5" H. Insurance appraisal for $12,500 in 2003.
