Antique Settee

This is a antique settee with its broad wood frame showcasing an aged patina. A sumptuous piece of antique elegance providing a comfortable seat with a supportive high back panel. Raised on cabriole legs with a carved floral detail to the knee and scrolled feet provide a well supported seat panel. Its been professionally reupholstered in a tightly woven burlap cloth. Beautifully formed, oblique, carved arms complete this look with padded armrests. Rising into the shaped high back panel is a humped cresting rail displaying central carved garlands and swags of floral and foliate interest. Definitely a collectible, its is also an appealing and attractive period piece!
