Antique Jacobean style flip top table that was converted ( and re-inforced ) in a way that still allows it to be a receiving entry hall or sofa table...or a wonderful desk too!
Beautiful antique patina in the original woods and a some newer brass hinges and wood support arms were added. The top has inset leather and lifts open to storage sections. * If you want to flip the top over (expanding the surface size of the original flip top table - it will need top supports to hold it level and steady ).
Gaze upon the amazing undercarriage legs, sides and stretcher! The faux drawers have nice round wood escutcheons ( but no keys as they are faux drawers ). Popularized during the reign of Scottish and English monarch James I in the 17th century, Jacobean furniture was considered a transitional style between the medieval style and the Renaissance that would follow. Jacobean style was characterized by the increasing use of curved lines, ornate carving, and comfort.
Dimensions: 37 1/2" wide x 22" deep x 30 1/2" tall.
Notes: Age appropriate old nicks, old chips that add to its beautiful antique looks and patina.
