Item Description

This is an incredible set. At least 19th century, possibly earlier. The mortar alone weighs 22 lbs, the pestle weighs 7 lbs. The mortar is 5.5” high by 7.25 diameter. The pestle is 7.5” long and 3” diameter at it’s widest. It’s clear that this set was born together. Both are made of cast iron and have age appropriate patinas.

Consistent with age and use.
