The 2005 Piaggio Typhoon is one of the best looking scooters on the road, designed with a sporty steel frame, colored in black with cosmic blue trim. One-piece passenger seating allows a companion to come along for a ride as well. Vinyl seats provide plenty of comfort to go along with the class of this bike.
However, despite the 2005 Piaggio Typhoon's stylish look, make no mistake: its single cylinder, 2-stroke engine provides plenty of power, once its wheels hit the open road. The Typhoon is equipped with a 49cc, air-cooled engine with reed valve configuration and 1.57 x 1.54 inch bore and stroke. Also, this scooter has an electric starter and a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT), with primary belt drive. Because of its unique engine specs, the 2005 Piaggio Typhoon requires premium fuel.
Beyond its powerful engine, the 2005 Piaggio Typhoon's suspension, steering, wheels, and tires allow for a smooth ride. This scooter comes with a telescopic fork front end suspension, and steel, single sided swing arm rear suspension. These elements combine with a single rear shock absorber to help the bike maintain a balanced ride, even under adverse road conditions. A pair of tubeless, aluminum 10 inch wheels, and 120/90 R16 front and rear tires help provide an even and safe drive.
Speaking of safety, the 2005 Piaggio Typhoon comes with a number of additional security features. This scooter is equipped with 7.5 inch hydraulic disc front end brakes, and 3.9 inch rear drum brakes, which allow this bike to come to smooth stops, even when cruising at top speeds. Front and rear end fenders also provide another important safety measure for both the driver, and his or her passenger.
Beyond its standard specs, the 2005 Piaggio Typhoon has a number of additional features that enhance the experience of riding this bike. The scooter comes equipped with standard hand grips, driver and passenger floor board location, and a center stand to help keep the bike evenly balanced when not in use. The Typhoon's instrumentation includes a clock, speedometer, and fuel level warning gauge, which alerts the driver when the bike's 1.5 gallon fuel capacity gasoline tank (with 0.4 gallon fuel storage) is getting low.

Condition: the scooter was serviced this week and is in good working condition. The left rear taillight is broken (see pic. #19) and the lock on the seat storage bin will need to be repaired. Scooter has been kept in the garage since purchase. Clean title will be included.
