Snake Handle Porcelain Jar

Up for auction is an exceptional porcelain vase. The vase’s body sits on top of a flared stem, and a circular base. This piece is highlighted by the incredibly detailed snake handles. The blue color of the vase is striking and sophisticated, creating a vivid backdrop for the piece’s hand painted motif. Depicting a classical Rococo scene on each side, this vase shows two female portraits against nature, executed in shades of purple, blue, and red. It’s completely painted by hand and composed of porcelain. The vase has never been used and measures 22 inches in height.
