A white ware round footed bowl with simple floral pattern on glossy white background and finished with the edge and base trimmed in gold by L S & S Limoges France. Lewis Straus & Sons was a New York importer of porcelain from their factory in Limoges, France, and then was professionally hand-painted and sold to higher-end department stores. The bowl measures 5 3/4" across the rim and 3 1/4" across the pedestal base. The bottom is marked "L S & S Limoges France" in blue, which dates this piece in the range of 1890-1920. The condition is very good. Some gold paint loss around the rim.
