My most recent experience with Blue Spruce is specifically about the pick up process. The wait to pick up items was over 45 minutes long. Blue Spruce had a employee that called in sick which partially accounted for the wait. However, the pick up process was unusually disorganized and many bidders went into the residence to remove objects from throughout the home to aid in the pick up process. )verall the pick up experience was innecessarilty chaotic.

There is no organization for pickup like with other companies where they have you select a time to be there. Glass and fragile items were stacked on the floor in the hallways where people were trying to move heavy furniture through. Staff "helped" move items up the stairs but did not handle items appropriately and caused damage. People moving items caused damage to others' items. Double check anything handed to you because we walked away with someone else's item. Several of our items were damaged that were not issues present in the photos for the auction and obviously happened either by staff moving the items or by others coming to collect since there was no monitoring. Strangers were walking into the residence during the collection since the staff were distracted with daycare duties and monitoring people that were basically hanging out in the residence waiting for a vehicle. Overall, it was chaos and we are disappointed in our items being damaged when they would have been in excellent shape as posted. We are going to arrive first thing at the next pickup to mitigate damage and try to avoid bids with this company again.

Packaging for breakable items was poorly done. All decor items purchased arrived broken. The small platter was rolled up in the dress without knowledge so when unpacking it fell to the floor and broke. Breakable items should never be rolled up in clothes with out letting purchaser know. The ice bucket handle was not listed as broken. The ladle was not in the box. Clothes were as described and are nice. Packaging needs to improve.
