Q&A with Mathew

What got you interested in secondhand, vintage, and antique items?

Growing up, my mom and grandma would take me to garage sales and thrift shops. They taught me to appreciate the love for things and the importance of finding joy in objects that others have lost love for.

What are one or two things that you always find yourself bidding on or looking for when shopping secondhand?

Anything with a horse on it! I am a horse boy at heart and love the old English equestrian vibe—very Ralph Lauren.

What’s your absolute favorite item you’ve ever purchased at an estate sale or online auction?

Online auctions are new to me, but I’m very excited to keep dipping my feet in!

Any tips or advice for online auction or estate sale newbies?
