1800 Era Whale Oil Lantern

Early whale oil lantern with pierced tin, star & diamond design on the frame with original glass. This lantern has a fixed glass shade unlike the later models where the glass was removable. Many or these lanterns were used on ships. The burner that inserts from the bottom was not found at the estate however these can be purchased in the secondary market. Early 1800's lantern with a good primitive look for your use or display. These look wonderful electrified to use.

Notes: very good for its age with wear from general use over the last 170 years! This is a hard to find antique lantern
